Elderly Care

In 2008 we were invited to visit in the Wanglavilliage in the Arghakhanchi district. It was heartening to see what and how the local community had done to care for the resident 9 elders. The community asked for our support in building a new toilet/bathroom and installing solar hot water. We also contributed a new Buffalo for their ongoing sustainability. It was very easy to respond given the obvious and long-term work the community has already built up and continued.
We are continuing our contact and friendship support with Wangla village and in addition another village has approached us to visit their elder care project – so we imagine this elderly care sector will continue to grow.
