The production of goods out of dry maize leaves could have some potential. Also if the
women don`t have time to go to the market to sell the products, they could put them
together.
`Cosmetic shop` seems to generate a good income. Could maybe a combined `house delivery
shop` out of clothes and cosmetics generate an income?
Maybe some items of the clothes seller could be made by herself or by another group
member. Also knitting and crochet could have a potential.
In the shops a lot of children were coming and buying some sweets or snacks. By doing some
of the sold items by the shop owners themselves could generate an added income (e.g.
snacks for children (popcorn) or biscuits).
I saw a lot of chickens, my question, if they can sell eggs from them were all denied and told,
that the chickens generate more income then the eggs. But selling every day for example 10
eggs (from 10 chickens) and generating an added income of 70 Rupees with it seems to me
ok.
50% of the women wear a necklace made with synthetic pearls. They are sold in a lot of
shops in the city and cost about 30 Rupees (depending on the thickness). Making these
necklaces themselves and selling it in the market in the city and on the way to the market
could be a new business.
The families shouldn`t forget their children! With the big advantage of being organized as a
group they could also care about the future of the school. With their organization of the new
dugwell they showed also that they are capable to solve big issues. The school gives the
children an opportunity their parents didn`t have.
